Michigan State Police Arrest Two in Thumb Region Drug Trafficking Bust

IMLAY CITY – Michigan State Police have arrested two men from Metro Detroit for allegedly selling drugs in the Thumb region.

According to a post on X by the State Police Third District, the Thumb Narcotics Unit arrested Steven Jackson, 31, from St. Clair Shores, and Mantwan Gladney, 28, from Detroit. The arrests followed an investigation into the sale of methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl.

State Police said the two men were taken into custody “without incident” during a traffic stop in Imlay City on Thursday (8/8).

Officers also searched a home in Macomb County, where they found more drugs and a pistol.

The exact location of the home and the date of the search were not disclosed.

Gladney and Jackson are currently in the Lapeer County Jail and have been charged with felony drug offenses.

Several agencies, including the State Police Emergency Support Team, St. Clair County Drug Task Force, County of Macomb Enforcement Team (COMET), Imlay City Police, and State Police K9 units, were involved in the investigation.
